Ingredients:

  • 3 medium sized ripe banana
  • ¾ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup wheat flour
  • ½ cup oil
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup walnut
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°C.
  2. Take ripen bananas and split them into two pieces and put them into a bowl.
  3. Mash the banana using a hand blender/electric blender.
  4. Also add sugar while blending
  5. Add vanilla extract and oil to it.
  6. Then sieve maida, wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and salt.
  7. Combine all the dry ingredients using to and fro method with banana puree.
  8. Add walnut and fold it gently.
  9. Greece the bread tin or a rectangular cake pan with some oil.
  10. Then transfer the batter into the mould.
  11. Pat the tray two- three times to remove the air which is incorporated into the batter.
  12. Put the tray inside the oven. 
  13. Bake the cake at 180°C for 40 minutes.
  14. Put it on the wire gauge to cool it completely.
  15. Cut the bread into slices and serve it.
  16. Store the leftover slices in the airtight container.

Note:

  1. In these recipes for banana bread instead of egg we are using oil. If you want eggs then you can substitute it.
  2. Add nuts of your choice, you can also add chocolate chips.
  3. You can also replace maida with wheat flour to have a banana bread recipe healthy.
